A Vineyard rooted

in a dream

 
 
 

Vineyard owners and founders Irvin and Diana fell in love with the wineries and vineyards while traveling through Southern France. Their dream was to one day bring that experience to Southern California’s Wine Country. Thus the 9-acre vineyard at Château de Rêve Ranch began in 2011 as a dream, hence the name Château de Rêve (Dream Chateau) with wine production starting in 2014. Over the years, our farming operations have included vegetable farming, an apple, multiple citrus and avocado orchards as well.

In 2011 we continued the journey as stewards of the land, planting over 4000 grape vines across 4 acres, with another 4,500 planted in 2016 to a total of 9 acres, in 2014 we produced our first vintage resulting in multiple awards by numerous judging panels across the US.

You’ll discover that we combine our knowledge of the land, with modern winemaking techniques to produce premium, handcrafted wines. Being involved in every aspect of winemaking, from budbreak to harvest, Fermentation to barreling and bottling, allows us to produce wines of great quality that showcase the amazing terroir that the La Cresta area offers to us.

Our Winemaker

Born and raised in the Northern California Bay area, Shaun grew up in one of the prime wine and grape regions of the world. His passion for wine started at a young age when he worked in the Santa Cruz Mountains, home of many famed wineries. This passion quickly became an obsession. As the obsession grew, so did his thirst for knowledge about wine and winemaking. He started a Wine Party business that rapidly grew popular shortly before his move to Southern California. This experience gave Shaun the background needed to help with the establishment of The Wineyard, a local winebar in Thousand Oaks, California. Through this avenue, Shaun found his calling, to pursue his degree in Enology/Viticulture from UC Davis.

Shaun has since devoted the past 12 years to winemaking at the Camarillo Custom Crush Winery as both a Winemaker/Winemaking Consultant to a number of highly regarded estate wineries across California, and Owner/Producer of his own award winning and celebrity sought after wine brand, Consensio Cellars.
